Hall of Shame
For those Fire Prevention Officers and adopters of city policy who's good
intentions end up costing the fire service dearly by turning contractors,
builders and owners off on the idea of installing fire sprinklers we say
"Look for your name below" where we honor your lack
of good judgement by dragging you through the mud in the:
Fire Sprinkler Hall of Shame
- The Fire Inspector who enforces requirements out of the wrong section for the type of sprinkler system being installed.
- The Fire Inspector who requires NFPA 13 requirements on a 13D System.
- The Fire Inspector who has his/her own requirements above and beyond the codes and standards.
- The Fire Inspector who thinks the sprinkler contractor is unable to tell the truth and is out to pull something
over on them.
- The Fire Inspector from the City of... (insert appropriate name here)
If you were looking for your name as you read this, be at ease. Our
association does not want to embarrass anyone. But, if you see yourself in any
of those descriptions above consider that your name could be inserted
someday...
