Sprinkler Training:
Several NFPA standards are in the process of being updated. We anticipate they will become effective by the end of 2011. As such, the State Fire Marshal Fire Protection staff will be conducting two-day NFPA Standards update classes in October and November.
These two-day seminars will detail the latest and most significant changes to NFPA standards 13 and 13R (2010 editions) as compared to the 2002 editions of NFPA 13 and 13R. These seminars will also describe the significant changes that have occurred in the 2008 edition of NFPA 25 and the 2010 edition of NFPA 20.
This training is intended for fire and building inspection personnel who conduct sprinkler plan review and inspections. It is also intended for fire sprinkler system design and installation personnel. This course describes the changes to various NFPA standards. The information presented will allow for the application of these new requirements to design, installation, plan review, and/or inspection of fire sprinkler systems. This training qualifies for continuing education credits for managing employee and journeyman certification.
The classes will be held:
- Sprinkler Training - January 24 - 25, 2012 - Egan Fire Staion # 1
There is no fee for attending this class. Attendees must pre-register online at:
https://lapp.dps.state.mn.us/fmarshal/fm_training/fm_homepage.aspx
